Script Description

This simple script allows you to implement the ever missing function of cut and paste in the finder menu. 

file moves script also supports the function to move multi file o folders on your mac os x.

now you can say that your mac has all it needs to be perfect!

how does it work ?

all you need to do is select the files and folders that you wish to move and type   the keyboard short cut : comand shift x ,  (reccomended for easy memory association)
, and here it comes  the system dialog box from which you have to choose the files and folders destination.
Once you choose the destination , all you need to do is press the choose button and finally you can wait to see the impossible happen.

installation :

Part one : copy the script on your mac.

1.go to your home folder , comand shift h , and select your libbrary folder.
2. create a new folder : Services if it does not existalready , within your library folder.  S is a capital letter.
3.  copy the move files script in this services folder.

Second part  create the short cut for the script

1. open system preferences.
2.  move to the keyboard button.
3. click this buttom with vo space bar.
4. with vo left arrow move to the keyboard short cuts.
5. attivate with vo space bar.
6. with vo left arrow move to the table :   category  . of shortcuts.
7. interact with this table.
8. with vo left arrow move to the column of category .
9.  with vo down arrow move to services  and stop the interaction          with the table.
10. with vo right arrow move to the next table : keyboard shortcuts.
11. interact with the table.
12. with vo left arrow move to documents and folders . row
13. with vo down arrow move to move file . row
14. with vo left arrrow move to the  next column , an empty field.
15.vo space bar and write : comand + shift + x  to set the keyboard short cut .
16. close the window with comand + w.

notes:
this script has been created and tested with snow leopard only.
it may happen that the system does not see teh changes immediatly.

to activate the script :

1. go to teh finder menu , choose services and select move file.
2. re start your computer.
